It seems that retailers are already pushing their X-mas wares when we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet. A couple of examples:
- Target - They already had out their Christmas stuff out such as wrapping paper, trees and xmas lights on Halloween weekend.
- At Macy's this past weekend, they were playing Christmas songs over the loud speakers.
So, exactly when did Christmas season start before Thanksgiving? The retailers seem to just be pushing the Xmas holiday earlier and earlier. Probably in a couple of years, people will be seeing Xmas stuff right next to the school supplies they are buying their kids of the start of school.
For me, I'm not even in the Xmas mood yet. There isn't even snow on the ground, and according to the Weather guys, it is suppose to hit mid 60's in the Northeast this week. Well, to make sure we haven't forgotten about Turkey day, here is
Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving Song.
