Shameless Plug

My lovely girlfriend started her own blog called Just Liz.

And just for the record, no I won't post any pictures of her online. =P

Visiting DC?

This is a definite read for those that might come down to visit me in Maryland.

Tourist's Guide To Driving Around Washington D.C.

This place requires you to have a car or at least have access to a car. It is completely different from NYC where one could walk to almost anything or a quick subway stop or two away.

A few days ago, I was talking to a person in the Bethesda office, and I mentioned to him that I just moved to Maryland/DC from New York. He said in the heyday of the company, quite a few people from the New York office moved down to DC and they all came to the same conclusion:
The Metro(what DC people call the subway) moves to slow.
There isn't much to do down here, and they go back to NY almost every weekend.
I definitely agree about the Metro being slow. I wish they implemented a concept called Express Trains! On the second point, I'm starting to come to that same conclusion (again!).....

The World At Night

Definitely need to see this.

Earth's City Lights

What happened to Turkey Day?

It seems that retailers are already pushing their X-mas wares when we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet. A couple of examples:
  • Target - They already had out their Christmas stuff out such as wrapping paper, trees and xmas lights on Halloween weekend.
  • At Macy's this past weekend, they were playing Christmas songs over the loud speakers.
So, exactly when did Christmas season start before Thanksgiving? The retailers seem to just be pushing the Xmas holiday earlier and earlier. Probably in a couple of years, people will be seeing Xmas stuff right next to the school supplies they are buying their kids of the start of school.

For me, I'm not even in the Xmas mood yet. There isn't even snow on the ground, and according to the Weather guys, it is suppose to hit mid 60's in the Northeast this week. Well, to make sure we haven't forgotten about Turkey day, here is

Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving Song.

Enjoy

Ratatouille

Hopefully you have seen "The Incredibles" , the latest movie by Pixar. If you haven't I urge you to see it. It is quite funny, and well made. The target market for this movie definitely wasn't for the young generation, but for their mothers/fathers and of course the 20 somethings. The next movie coming up is "Cars". It looks like they are going back to their core audience, but no matter what, I'll be at the theatre watching it.

By now, you probably are wondering what in the world "Ratatouille" is. Well, I'll let you Google it yourself to find out.

Asian Pride Porn

Asian Pride Porn [PG Rated]

Even though the title might scare you a bit, there is nothing bad about the short video, ie: NO NUDITY. It runs about 3 minutes. It a commentary discussing about why asian females in such movies are always with an non-asian male and that there should be more asian on asian movies.

Watch it, get a good laugh out of it and leave your comments below.
