Can you say STOLEN?
I was reading article about the new restrictions the TSA put in effect due to the terrorist plot. Below is a quote from the WSJ article.
"Also passengers are being asked to put digital and electronic devices such as laptops, cellphones, DVD players in their checked baggage, said Mr. LaVorgna."
Now, by putting your expensive electronics in your checked bag, it is going to make it easier for thieves to steal all that nice stuff. This is because people have the crackable TSA locks, don't have lock since they were planning on carrying it on the plane, or just don't lock them normally. It is going to be goldmine. Reported theft from the bags are going to go up for the month of August.
Some consultants laptop with globs and globs of personal information is just waiting to be stolen from their checked bag because of this. I'm just waiting to here it on the news....
