Review of Exponents

I was doing some homework this evening and it seemed that I had forgotten some of the rules when dealing with exponents. I found it quite embarrassing. So, for those who forgot how to do exponents, here is a review of some the rules.

2^k+1 = 2 * 2^k

2^k+m = 2^k * 2^m

(2^k)^m = 2^k*m

3(1 + 2^k) = 3 + 3 * 2 ^k

2(1+2^k) = 2 + 2^k+1

2^-k = 1/2^k

2^k + 3 ^m -- can't simpify it.
